Promesa Educativa para Mexico, A.C. is the governing body of the musical education program SeWa which means to blossom in the Raramuri dialect. It offers children and adolescents between the ages of 4 and 18 the opportunity to participate in a symphony orchestra, guitar orchestra, choir and musical initiation.
It was founded by a group of enthusiastic and committed women as a social work that seeks to rescue the ethics of the children and adolescents of the city of Chihuahua through a collective musical program that reestablishes the social fabric of society.
The orquestra is a musical learning community which provides children and adolescents the opportunities to obtain a musical education that serves as a tool that contributes to their social-formative development.
These vocal ensembles unite children and adolescents between the ages of 8 and 18 developing their singing technique through an attractive contemporary repertoire. Choreography is added to some of the pieces which provides and additional developmental element.
Classes are given with a classical focus which allows the children to obtain solid musical basis and an encounter with one of the most popular instruments in the world.
Musical Initiation offers girls and boys in ages ranging from 4 to 7 years old, musical formation before they are integrated into the symphony orchestra, guitar orchestra or choir. It is offered as a workshop where children interact with musical elements such as rhythm, G-F scale, etc.
This program aims to explore and attend the interpretive talent in the Se'Wá Musical System valuing and giving attention to children and young talents in order to build a path aimed at their professionalization.
The DAT consists in the delivery of a personalized weekly class for children and young people who through hearing are selected to obtain a scholarship. The classes are taught by renowned musicians from the City of Chihuahua who currently serve 58 students of the System.
The Symphony Orchestra of Selection of the Se'Wá Musical System (OSSE'WÁ) was formed in September of 2015, after a process of hearing among the members of the four Community Symphonic Orchestras of the System.
OSSE'WÁ is born from the need to offer within the System a space for the artistic development of its students, as well as an aspirational model of growth for all members of the Se'Wá Community Symphonic Orchestras. The aim of the Symphony Orchestra of Selection is to congregate through the process of auditions, the students who demonstrate a higher musical performance and at the same time demonstrate constancy, discipline and capacity of team work in their classes within the Community Orchestras To which they belong, as well as responsibility in their study habits.
The members of this Orchestra are students who have participated in important local, national and international Forums such as: Major Concerts of Music in Harmony I and II (sponsored by the National Music Promotion System), National Trombone Week in the States of Nuevo León and Michoacán, the State of California Festival of Ethnic Dances, the Bach Festival 2015 and 2016 (sponsored by OFECH) playing together with important musicians such as Mtro. Ismael Estevané, Ángel Padilla, Faustino Díaz, among others.
We belong to The National Movement of Musical Community Groups of The National System of Musical Promotion of the Secretary of Culture.
